Timeless
Towns and Haunted Places
(Nutra Stick Productions, 2003)
Too Many Milleniums
They celebrated one year early
Now that the time’s come I don’t feel a thing
A megaphone with a mustache
Is giving a garbled speech
And all I can translate is
There have been too many millenniums already
There have been too many milleniums already
Who can change the world
Forever
And ever?
Who can rule the world
Forever
And ever?
The prophet’s body is on the floor
He’s holding the tool that led to his demise
The pool of blood clots so oddly
And makes a metric damn that’s
Singing in glossed harmony
There have been too many revolutions already
There have been too many revolutions already
The dinosaur keeled and asked "What did I do?"
The hunched ape said to the lake "Hey, who are you?"
The computer erased its memory banks
And asked "Why am I programmed to give you thanks
"When there have been too many millenniums already?"
I see the future in my sink, it always spirals there
In always the same way
The rain is pouring through the roof’s hole
And straight down the drain
And that’s how it will stay
There have been too many milleniums already
There have been too many milleniums already
Who can change the world
Forever
And ever?
Who can rule the world
Forever
And ever?
